S.T.R.I.D.E. Tutoring offers hands‑on, active learning in Reading, Math, and Science — led by licensed teachers and supported by amazing student tutors. Located at the new Artesia Rec Center, we help students build confidence, close learning gaps, and thrive in a fun, supportive environment.

At the Artesia Recreation Center, we provide high‑quality tutoring led by licensed teachers and supported by student mentors. Our program strengthens academics, supports families, and builds a connected, caring community through consistent, hands‑on learning in Reading, Math, and Science. Limited Enrollment: 12 Openings for K-3rd Grade Tutoring
We are currently enrolling K-3rd graders for STRIDE tutoring at the Artesia Rec Center. Only 12 spots remain for Fall 2026, ensuring small‑group attention and personalized support in Reading, Math, and Science.

Hi, I’m Renee Kraft. This will be my 23rd year teaching in Artesia. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th & 5th grades, and my current position as an Elementary Music teacher.
I have a BBS in Reading & Performing Arts. to help our students discover and develop their full potential.
I think kids retain information best through active learning and games.

Knowing that I have the opportunity to make a positive difference in my students' lives every day is what inspires me to teach.
Working with the Stride program has reinforced why I love education. Stride helps students close learning gaps that classroom teachers often don't have the time or opportunity to address through individualized instruction. I've had the privilege of seeing firsthand how students thrive in a fun, supportive environment where they receive one-on-one attention and learn in small groups. Watching students build confidence as they strengthen the skills they need to succeed has been incredibly rewarding, and it reminds me every day of the lasting impact personalized learning can have.

I am a fourth-grade math teacher with 10 years of experience, all in fourth grade. I have taught every subject area and have developed a special passion for helping students find confidence and success in math.
I hold an Associate degree in Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from UT Dallas, and a Master’s degree in E

I hold an Associate degree in Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from UT Dallas, and a Master’s degree in Education from ENMU. I also hold teaching endorsements in mathematics and science.
I became a teacher because I struggled as a student myself, and I wanted to make sure every student had a teacher in their corner. I believe there is a way for every child to learn—it just might not be the “traditional” way.
At S.T.R.I.D.E., I serve as a teacher/tutor and assist with technology and IT. I love that S.T.R.I.D.E. allows us to meet students where they are, build their confidence, and help them discover the way they learn best.

I have received my National Board certification in reading and literature have worked with dual language programs, sped inclusion, and I am currently working with the Stride program.
