Considering our teachers have a wide range of teaching experiences, we are able to offer a variety of professional development seminars. The trainings listed below are an example of the professional development we have given. We are able to curate effective trainings to fit your teachers' specific needs.
This course is based on programs such as, "The 6 Traits”, as well as, training and experience included by our coaches. It is designed for every course, from English to math to electives. There is an emphasis on note-taking, essay question writing (such as the RACE, ACE, or CEE), response writing and creative pieces. Writing is a vital tool for learning, and this course should improve all teachers’ confidence in using writing effectively. It is a one-day course that can be divided into two-hour sessions or extended to offer follow up.
This professional development course will help all teachers to effectively reach their ELL students, even if these students speak no English. There is an emphasis on language development, content learning, and self-esteem. We address the theories of SDAI and SIOP and make the course user friendly. Vocabulary, visuals, and group learning are all part of this course. This course consists of one prof. development day that could be extended for follow up sessions.
This course can be used for new AP teachers or those who want to practice, extend, and collaborate with experienced teachers. Currently, we offer help in AP Literature and AP Language with the hope of adding more support in the future.
This 2 hr. training will discuss the importance of SMART goals in the IEP. Teachers will learn how to create goals that are short term and annual, as well as, long term goals.
Participants will also discuss progress reports based on IEP goals, which also reflect student growth in all areas.
This course will provide effective, efficient professional development, specifically, proactive evidence-based interventions and strategies for early childhood educators. We providing specific trainings on the following disciplines: Self-regulation, Social Emotional Learning, Applied Behavior Analysis and the Adverse Effects of Early Childhood Experiences (ACE) study.
This course will provide effective, evidence-based strategies for small group instruction in accordance with MLSS.
