I am the founder and owner of BYS. I have a BS in education and a Master's in Reading/LA. Upon retirement, after 25 years, I felt called by God to structure instructional coaching in a totally different manner; an approach which is personal, individualized, and highly effective. My desire is to have time, "beside" teachers to get to know them personally, see their challenges, and their needs, so that it can change lives and promote growth (theirs, theirs students, and mine) TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

I grew up with parents as educators and then married into a family of educators, so teaching was familiar. I have taught all grade levels, K-12, with the majority of my experience in MS/HS English. Education and teacher responsibilities continue to change, so I believe you must have a heart for the kids while working on not becoming overwhelmed with the everyday challenges. Therefore, I look forward to working alongside teachers to help encourage and support them to be the best THEY can be. I would have relished having this same opportunity during my teaching career.
